About Me

Hello, I’m Krista and I’m so glad you found my page! I’m a travel obsessed wife & momma of 2 who is passionate about making the most out of life while creating memories with my loved ones and exploring this beautiful world together. I’ve always loved to explore, discover new places and find the hidden gems in a location. My husband and I have been traveling together for the past decade, sharing our love of adventure, the outdoors, and weaving our homeschooling days into our travels wherever and whenever we can.

My Story
I have been traveling since I was a baby. I grew up in a family with parents who were born on opposite sides of the country, met in college, married and spent my childhood traveling across the US to visit family & explore. I was 17 on my first international trip & spent 3 weeks traveling around England. Other adventures took me to several provinces in Canada, 3 weeks in Mexico City and surrounding areas and visiting 38 of the 50 states all before I was 20 years old. Since my early 20’s I met and married my 1st husband, had two children, fled (with the children) from an abusive marriage & home, restarted my life while singleparenting & attending college and started the long road to healing from those past traumas. A short while later I re-met and married a childhood friend who is my best friend & the love of my life. Together we have raised our children (he has adopted both children). I just completed my 11th year homeschooling & graduated my baby. As a homeschool family our flexible schedule allowed our family to enjoy freedom in our schedules and the ability to travel as a family whenever and wherever we wanted over the years. We enjoyed many marvelous roadtrip adventures and cross country expeditions as a family and are currently planning an international trip to celebrate our sons graduation.
As a couple we’ve traveled around multiple European destinations as well as 20 US states together and as an individual I’ve thouroughly explored 9 countries and 45 US states. I live to travel and travel to live. For me they go hand in hand. There is nothing quite like seeing a destination for the first time that you’ve been reading & dreaming about, researching, and spent months or years planning & saving for. It is one of the best feelings to check off locations from the bucket list!

As a type A personality, I’m an organizer, planner and list maker by nature. Those skills all come in handy while I’m planning and arranging our next travel itinerary. Over the years I’ve honed those skills and created quite the repertoire of itineraries to choose from and I’m always adding more to the collection. I can’t wait to share about our travels, the lessons we’ve learned, travel mishaps and life changing experiences to help encourage & inspire you while you begin honing in ideas/destinations for a dream trip, organize and prep for an upcoming (already planned) trip, or have the opportunitty to work with you as I help you plan your dream trip! Check back often for new and updated itineraries available for purchase and other updates.
